168 pages. No date, inscription to front endpaper is dated 1869.Good reading copy with mostly clean, tight pages. Cracked hinge, text block remains tight but binding does seem a little weak and board loose. Black and white plates are a little rub and finger marked. Pages are generally lightly rubbed with occasional marking and finger marks. Small water stain to edge of front endpaper and paste-down. One text page has a water stain also, does not affect readability of text. Light foxing to page edges. Decorative blue cloth cover with coloured plate and gilt decoration. Rubbing to boards and edges. Wear to corners. Split and tear to spine, top half of back strip is hanging off. Rub marking to back.
